The unique design allows you to store the anchor on top of you kayak for ease of paddling, and when the anchor is releases the anchor chute releases allowing the anchor to free fall to the bottom. I mounted directly to the back of my kayak using rivets and have it paired with just a simple anchor cleat. Even with this simple setup it works flawlessly easy to drop and retrieve anchor never lose position so far so good.

Love this product. Have it on all 3 of my kayaks. Simple to use and works great. Customer service is excellent too.

This is a quality made product. Very impressed. I am using it on a 14 foot fishing boat as a remote anchor. Using a Wal-Mart folding anchor. Probably a bit heavy for the Anchor Chute, but it works. Just what I was looking for.
